English Monograph Written by Lingxin Chen et al, Published by Springer
An English academic monograph entitled "Novel Optical Nanoprobes for Chemical and Biological Analysis’ ((SpringerBriefs in Molecular Science) written by Lingxin Chen et al., who work in Key Laboratory of Coastal Environmental Processes and Ecological Remediation, Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has been published recently by the world famous academic publishers Springer publishing. The academic monograph encyclopedia, a total of five chapters, starts with a brief introduction to several kinds of versatile nanomaterials with novel optical properties, such as gold/silver nanoparticles, quantum dots, upconversion nanoparticles and graphene, and then detailed introduces the latest researches of optical nanoprobe methods and their applications in the chemical and biological analysis.
In recent years, aiming at the requirements of simple rapid, high sensitivity, and good selectivity for trace analysis of the typical pollutants in complex matrices, "Environmental Microanalysis and Monitoring" team directed by Chen, has constructed various "functionalized nanomaterials optical probes" based on nanoscale materials and has studied on the nano interface reaction principle and sensing regulation mechanism. Functionalization methods mainly involve the surface modification of biological & chemical recognition ligands, and chemical reaction control. Detection methods mainly involve the colorimetry, UV-Vis, fluorescence and surface enhanced Raman scattering. A series of innovative research achievements will greatly enrich the connotation of visualization analysis, and the imaging, etc.
Publishing of the monographs illustrates that the researches on the environment pollutant detection carried out by Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research have attracted international academic attentions and recognition.
