Founded by the Joint Research Project between NSFC and NWO (Assessing the influence of human activities on ecosystem health and identifying indicators for nearness to system collapse: a case study on the Yellow River delta), Laura Soissons, the PhD student in Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ), visits YIC from May to August.

 During the visiting period, Laura Soissons does the field experiments about the response of seagrass to changes in the abiotic environment. The aim is to obtain the influence of anthropogenic activities on the seagrass decline.
