International Conference of Land-Ocean Interactions in the Coastal

Zone and Sustainable Development Conference 2015

September 17-20, 2015 Yantai, P. R. China

1st Conference Circular

Coastal zone is the area of particular ecological, social, and economic value where many conflicting interests need to be resolved in order to ensure a sustainable development of this highly dynamic and complex environment. Coastal zone contains natural systems that provide more than half of the global ecosystem goods (e.g., fish, oil, minerals) and services (e.g., natural protection from storms and tidal waves, recreation). Coastal zone with its biodiversity, productive habitats and major biogeochemical processes supports the life, welfare and health of a growing part of the global population and this strongly relies on the maintenance of the coastal environment and functions.

Land-Ocean Interactions in the Coastal Zone and Sustainable Development Conference 2015 (LOICZ&SDC 2015) will provide an opportunity for researchers, regulators, scientists, students, engineers, private and public sectors to present recent research findings and to exchange information on assess, anticipate and respond to the interaction of global change and local pressures which determine coastal change.

Land-Ocean Interactions in the Coastal Zone and Sustainable Development Conference 2015 (LOICZ&SDC 2015) will be held from 17-20 September, 2015 in Yantai, China.
