On November 20, 2023, the China-Russian Youth Academic Exchange Conference, organized by the Research Center for Information Integration and Strategic planning, was held at Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences(YIC-CAS). The conference adopted a combination of online and offline formats, with more than 20 scholars from the Institute of Applied Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences(IAP-RAS) and YIC-CAS. Vice Director in Charge Prof. Qin Song attended the conference, which was hosted by the Center Director Prof. Wang De.

Vice Director in Charge Prof. Qin Song warmly welcomed Professor Iurii Titchenko who is the Deputy Director of Hydrological Physics Radio Physics Method Department of IAP-RAS and Dr. Maria Panfilova. He expressed his hope for strengthening exchanges and promoting cooperation between the two institutes. Professor Wang De and Professor Iurii Titchenko introduced the Information Integration and Strategic Planning Research Center of YIC-CAS and the Hydrological Physics Radio Physics Method Department of IAP-RAS respectively. The participants made presentations on topics such as marine physical environment exploration, sea ice change, microplastic pollution, and hypoxia generation. Prof. Guo Jie, the initiator of the conference, highlighted the cooperative exchanges under the Special Exchange Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, NSFC-Shandong Joint Fund, and President’s International Fellowship Initiative of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The participants engaged in lively discussions on topics of interest, laying a foundation for further collaboration.
