Scientists from U.S. Geological Survey and CNIC visits YICCAS |
On November 12th, five scientists from United States Geological Survey (USGS) and two experts of Computer Network Information Center (CNIC) visited our institution for academic communication. These five American experts are from the following two centers of USGS, namely Patuxent Wildlife Research Center (PWRC) and Western Ecological Research Center (WERC). Director Yongming Luo welcomed all the visiting guests. During this communication, Greg Smith and Steven Schwarzbach, who are the directors of PWRC and WERC, detailed overviewed their developments and recent advances of Climate Change and Biodiversity Conservation in coastal studies. Dr. Jeanny Wang、Diann Prosser and John Takekawa gave presentations in hydrologic network analysis、climate change and coastal studies in the Chesapeake Bat, USA and coastal ecosystem response to climate change, respectively. All the experts also visited labs of YIC and the Muping ecological experimental station.
