On Nov 8th 2012, Mr. Emmanuel THOUARD and Ms. Sophie Arnaud-haond from French Research Institute for Exploration of the Sea (Ifremer) visited Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences(YICCAS).

Prof. Yongming LUO, the acting director of YICCAS accompanied french scientists during the visit and meeting. French scientists visited the laboratories and Testing and Analysis Center, and expressed appreciation for the achievements made by YICCAS.

Mr. Emmanuel THOUARD briefly introduced the history/ research fields/ equipments and research groups of Ifremer. The two sides discussed and agreed to attach importance to strengthening the exchanges and cooperation with each other to regularly exchange views on issues of common interest and improve mutual understanding.
