The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) enables young highly qualified scholars who hold doctorates to carry out research projects of their own choice in Germany. The prestigious programme is highly competitive (only up to 600 fellowships are granted worldwide every year). Applicants should already have published articles in international journals.
